speed perspective..
Just happened to come across a show on T.V. talking about the bugatti veyron. They mentioned (and I had to double check) that at top speed it covers 100 yards per second! So yeah when traveling at 204mph you could go from one end of a football field to another in one second! Not that 200mph sounded slow before, but when you say it like that it seems crazy!

Thats crazy, makes me really think how much room you need to safely attain those speeds.

What's scary about it is that the majority of people don't realize how long it takes to shut down from that speed. I can't tell you how many I've known/seen have wrecks and close calls because they couldn't slow down in time.
Depth perception means squat at 150+ for an inexpierenced driver.

Fastest I've ever been is 170ish in the Camaro. Used cruise control at 150 once. I loved the Mojave desert in Cali. It was on the same road that someone posted vids of all the exotics on a while back. (Amboy road between Twenty-nine Palms and I-40)

Hwy 395 to Bishop is like that from Riverside. Straight and long with minimal law enforcement coverage! I was passed one day on the way to Mammoth Mtn by a C4 Corvette. I was doing (with cruise on) 105 and I seen him coming in my rearview about 3 miles back. Before I could advance to the next song on my cassette player (dont laugh) he passed me and the vortex he generated sucked paper out of my truck. I had the window down maybe one inch to let out smoke. Some guy was smoking a fattie in my truck and I didnt appreciate that! I am sure this Vette was somewhere around 200, just not positive. I lost sight of him within 15 seconds.
Didnt Top Gear get 300 out of the Vernyon?

ditto. I would never push my SS like I did the crappy V6s I had in the past. Amazing what age and learning lessons can do!
